As we begin a new school year and look out at the new faces in our classrooms, it is important to remember that each and every child is the best for someone. Parents are certainly not leaving the "good ones at home", so before you sits the best of the best.
If we can remember that what parents wish for more than A’s and B’s,is a teacher that sees their child through the same lens they do. As we host "Back to School Nights", grade level meetings, and curriculum sessions, be sure to find some way to let parents know that you see what they do. So when they leave their best with you, they are assured that you will love them, honor them, and do whatever it takes for their best to achieve the best.
Along with the books on the side, here are some resources supporting these conversations.
