An F-Listers Revolution

Flist A year ago, Mack Collier of The Viral Garden posted Revenge of the Z-Listers -- and a firestorm of links and higher ranks quickly followed. What started as an effort to give "link-love" to some unsung bloggers, Mack's community-building spirit was contagious - in fact, a Google search on Z-List brings up 171,000 results including a Squidoo Lens.

To help celebrate the year anniversary of the Z-List, I thought it appropriate to spread some link love to some unsung teacher blogs -- what I'll call the F-List -- and you can help.

I'm going to quote the green thumb of community seed-sowing with his instructions (emphasis mine), then follow with the initial blogs for our list:

"What YOU can do is simply create a new post on your blog, but CUT AND PASTE the list I have below, and then ADD any blogs you feel aren't getting their due either. It can be one blog, or a hundred (or none if you simply want to repost the same list), but the idea is, find those great blogs that, for whatever reason, you feel aren't getting their due, link-wise.

Then after you leave your post, the next blogger will do the same thing, cut and paste YOUR list, and add THEIR blogs to the list, then repost it. Add the same instructions in your post that the next blogger should cut and paste YOUR list, and add any blogs they feel should be on it to THEIR list. The list will get increasingly long, and all the blogs will get a sort of reverse 'pyramid-affect' of link-love."

Here are my F-Listers (Remember, cut and paste these into your own blog and add yours):

Are We Doing Anything Today?
Timely Teacher Talk
Three Standard Deviations to the Left
Eide Neurolearning Blog
Speaking of History

Woo-hoo the Z-List, and now the F-List lives on! ;)

Mack-You are my inspiration-we have to wake these edubloggers up! There are so many voices to be heard! Happy Holidays!

Angela

Thanks for adding me to your "F" list!!

Eric Langhorst

Eric, happy to oblige! Love to see you pay it forward and add the blogs you love to the list on your site!

Angela, thanks for your keen efforts to extend a conversation with learners and teachers. Oh how I'd like to see more of the brain mixed into conversations about new approaches that benefit learners:-)

It's a great way to get the word out too - so that people engage others' ideas. While we're leading too many brain based projects at the moment to get into this delightful frey -- we at www.brainbasedbusiness.com - do love and follow your sight, Angela. Great ideas here - and Many Thanks! You are a credit to the field!

Many thanks Ellen. You are a continual resource for my learning. Your knowledge and insight can help with our students as well!

Angela,
Wow, thank you for putting me on your list. I hope to get back to my reflective teaching and away from movie reviews. (Have to love break!)
--Fred

Fred-you are very welcome. I am so happy to spread the word. After you are done with your movies-add to the list and pay it forward. There are great voices to hear from, let our readers know who is worth a listen.

Hi Angela, I had received your request concerning the F-list back in December and I just came to check out what you were doing. I'm putting on my thinking cap to see who I might be able to add here... :-)

Robyn, I will post the additions, and I'd be honored if you add on! There are great voices to be heard, and I this is a great way to make sure that happens. Thanks again for the support!
