BlogtippingHappy New Year Bloggers! What a great way to start the new year with the first Blogtips for 2008. Remember, the first of every month is Blogtipping Day!

Remember, we BlogTipp because?

  • As part of the audience, we can share feedback with the author.
  • As the authors, we find out what our audience likes/would like.
  • As fellow blogtippers, we can be introduced to different blogs.
  • By looking at other blogs and blogtippings, we can learn from each other.
  • It’s a wonderful way to introduce our audience to other blogs.
  • It’s also a great way to introduce our site to other bloggers.

So, let’s get started:

First Blog Tip: Christy at Expereincing E-Learning

Lovin’ it For:

  • I love the banner-it makes the site look very 21st century. It’s great!
  • You have a wealth of posts built up into your archives, having the search and your top 10 posts helps the reader navigate.
  • Great range and depth of topic-you really know your stuff! You are a wonderful resource.

Tippin’ it For:  I would love to see more links out;it would extend your conversation

Second Blog Tip: Cammy at Learning Visions

Loving it for:

  • I love the questions at the end of your posts.  What a great way to extend the conversation. I wish more edublogger would do the same.
  • Your blog roll is extensive and varied. This is a great resource of bloggers you learn from that we can learn from, too.
  • Great linking out! So many edubloggers just write. Links out are ways to keep the learning and conversation going.  best elearning blog! Congrats!

Tippin’ it for: The posts with images are the ones that catch the readers eye first. Adding a few more images would really hit home your points.

Third Blog Tip: Tony at eLearning Technology

Loving it for:

  • Your great content-varied, provocative, informative…it’s no wonder you are an Edublog Winner!
  • I love the widget for first time users.  You have so much to say, and this helps those new to your site get to the good stuff quick!
  • Great eyerests-you give the readers lots of pictures, bullets, and indents. These "little things" make a big difference when you are navigating lots of content.

Tippin it for: Having your sidebar smaller, could make your main content page easier to read.

I do not just love Blogtipping because I am a Midwest girl. Give it a try yourself, and be sure to share the great blogs you discover in the process!
