Creating Better Question Askers
Of all the strategies that I teach, questioning is near and dear to my heart! Without questions, learning ceases and the need for additional strategies becomes nonexistent. Curiosity is the fuel that propels learning forward. It spawns our questions and propels learning forward.
This workshop lays out a blueprint for teaching students to be better question askers rather than better at answering those we ask! Enjoy!

Thank you for the great questioning presentation. I have embeded it on my wiki, http://hpelementarytechclass.wikispaces.com/Teacher+Links for the teachers at my school to view.

Nedra, how exciting! I am thrilled that you enjoyed it-it really is one of my favorite strategies to share with students and teachers. Feel free to add and adapt. Any suggestions would be welcome-we are smarter together!

I find the variety of ways to ask questions and to question what the author meant and what the student, as a reader, understands about the author's intention very useful in my daily conversations with students. There are enough ways to present or state questions offered in this presentation to keep my students talking and writing about what they are reading than they did BA (before Angela).
