The new school year is upon us (except for those colleagues on year-round calendars), and with that comes fresh slates, anxious anticipation, and hope for what our students will become. I am privileged to be able to start these beginning year conversations with you.
My mantra, the words that will guide my work with teachers and students will be this:
TEACH WITH INTENTION
Inspired in part by Debbie Miller’s newest book and by the hundreds of conversations this past summer during my teacher institutes, I am convicted and convinced that if we come to school every day with intention and purpose driven by what we believe in most, we have the power to transform teaching and learning.
This weeks posts are dedicated to what teaching with intention really looks like , sounds like and feels like in action. I have never been more excited about the state of education and the potential we have to change lives through our teaching.
Happy New School Year friends-What is your mantra for the new year?
