Dalton Sherman...YES, I BELIEVE!
Dalton Sherman is a little man, with a big voice, and a HUGE message. As keynote speaker for Dallas ISD on their opening day, young Dalton began his speech by asking his audience of almost 20,000 educators this simple question:“Do you believe in me?”
And for the next 7 minutes, made the compelling case as to why the answer matters. In his magnificent words:
"I can do anything, be anything, create anything, dream anything, become anything, because you believe in me. "
This is a MUST see speech for not only educators, but leaders and parents everywhere. Dalton, thanks for the wonderful reminder of why we do this work and how powerful our words can be. And, to answer your question...YES-I BELIEVE!
How about you? How do we show each and everyone of our students we believe in them... their voices, their talents, and their dreams?
