Putting Learners First-It’s one of my mantras-and probably yours. Yet, we know, "saying" is often "different" than doing. So, how can we remind ourselves that learning and learners are the priority in our decisions and actions as educators?
One school has a great idea. Karinne Tharaldson, principal at Clinton High School ,in Clinton, Iowa posted signs like these in every teacher area. Strategically placed so that as teachers meet, plan, and gather they are thinking of this very important question at all times:
Is it good for kids?
Simple, yet powerful-don’t you think? Way to go Karinne!
