After a long day and a very full inbox to tackle, I was pleasantly surprised to receive a wonderful and encouraging email from a new Twitter/Blog friend, Steve Harper over at the Ripple Effect.
It was a simple yet powerful thank you, letting me know how much he enjoyed my blog, what he was learning, and what he liked best. Wow-what a way to end my day. I am still smiling
)))
Steve’s kindness and generosity got me thinking about the power we have to make someone’s day, or in his words, “create a ripple effect.”
So, in this spirit, I would like to send a “Virtual Pat on the Back” to a few friends of mine hoping if they get a “pat” – they will also be motivated to give a “pat” (hence “the ripple effect”)
- MrsTg-You are a fearless learner, and I am so proud of you. You jumped into Twitter and are flying like a swan, and your blog is a fantastic resource for teachers with strategies and tools they can immediately apply in their classroom.
- Phil Gerbyshak- Thank you for making my days great-reading your posts keep me inspired, motivated, and grounded. You really model living a life looking at glasses half full!
- Tracy Rosen- You teach and lead with heart. I so appreciate your honest and transparency, reminding me never forget that this work is about changing peoples lives.
- Dan Schawbel-Personal branding is something that I thought did not apply to me-and WOW was I mistaken! You have become my personal brand doctor. You can diagnose, respond, and prescribe all in one post!
- WriterDad-I am so excited to have found your blog-what incredible advice, insight, and tools. I love the way you make me think!
- Mike Sansone-You absolutely make me smarter! Your blog is like having a coach with me 24/7. Your advice, tools, and insights are invaluable to my work and life-big, big hug to you!
How about you? When is the last time you have “given a pat”, telling someone you have been reading or learning from how they have influenced your learning, your work or life. Go on…give it a try-it feels soooo good!
