I am a daily reader and learner over at Brain Based Business, and Robyn's latest post has truly inspired me. Last month 26 women from around the world took a moment to write an inspiring sentence. Each woman has shared something unique – please take the time to read the message on each slide.:
Here is the comment I left on Robyn's post:
Robyn, this story has truly inspired me. I just read both you and Joanna's slides-very powerful. This is a question I took to bed with me, and can not stop thinking about how it relates to what we do in education.
How do we share our inspiration and investment in the future by sharing these choice words with children.
So, I am taking your challenge into the classroom and visualizing what I would say to five year olds, middle school students, high school graduates-here are my words:
"Invest in learning-you have the power to change your life and the lives of others if you commit to staying curious, remaining open minded, and passionate about what is still left to know."
Robyn-you keep me inspired and continue to fuel my passion, curiosity, and knowledge. Thank you for sharing this work with me!
So, how 'bout it teachers. Invest in our students lives with your own choice words. What is the one statement, sentence, quote, message you would send to inspire your children to live their best learning life?
