Chalk Talk Friday represents conversations and brilliance I've discovered traversing my way through the Blogosphere. From professional to personal development, these are the posts and links have in some way touched my head or my heart!
- I love to search the web in unique and innovative ways, so happy to discover ChunkIt this week- With a single click, ChunkIt! searches the contents hidden behind the links on any Web page to extract the valuable "chunks" of information that really matter.
- Love the "Best of " lists, and nobody does it better than Larry Ferlazzo! This is his Best of the" Best of's"- a collection of over 160 lists of links, resources, and websites. It is a must bookmark!! Thanks, Larry for all the work you do!
- I love finding new parenting sites with tips and advice we can easily share. Check out Parenting Styles to find the latest in interesting advice and practical resources for all things kids!
- Image Detective- I have talked a great deal about the importance of teaching our students visual literacy skills. This is a fantastic site for reading historical images and primary documents with a critical eye.
- Wibe7.tv- I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this tool for quick and efficient video searching. Big thanks to my partner Mike Sansone for this amazing gem!
- When Dr. Z is excited about a new tool – so am I. Check out why he is "significantly " impressed with the new Language Translation Tools for Second Life.
- Take a jog on the web with @elizabethHolmes as she does a fantastic job of making sense of 21st Century Learning and Literacy Skills!
What a great start to 2009-don't you think? I can hardly wait to see what goodies will come to us next week! Enjoy and Happy Friday!
