Welcome to the Neighborhood – Celebrating New Voices in the Blogosphere!

I feel so blessed to be a part of amazing conversations each day through my blog and on Twitter. It was not that long ago, I was just starting out. It was the generosity and kindness of many bloggers in those first months that gave me the courage and confidence to continue.

One of my New Years Blog goals is to extend that same welcoming hand out to new bloggers finding their way around the neighborhood. Throughout the year , I will be featuring their talent and contributions to the conversation.

The Picnic Basket offers free children’s and young adult books for preK-12 teachers and librarians for reading and reviewing.  You can just find a title(s) you like, order a free review copy (first come-first served – usually between 25-50 available), and tell us what you think (via comments link). How great is that????

Even if you do not want to do a review, the site provides invaluable feedback from colleagues with insight on whether these books work (or not).  This is just what the busy teacher and libraian ordered! Welcome to the Neighborhood, Deborah!
