Celebrating Books with The Element by Ken Robinson
My friends and fellow writing colleagues at Joyful Jubilant Learning share some core values. We are all joyfully passionate about learning, we embrace new connections and conversations, and are all faithfully, stubbornly, and passionately about books.
The entire month of March has been a celebration of all three - learning, loving, and reading. We call it A Love Affair with Books. You can read our reviews of the books we are most joyful about, and if you want, continue the dialouge with your own copy of these fresh and ageless titles. (Of course you have to check out Dr. Ellen Weber's contribution entitled: Classroom Habitudes: A text for the renewal we crave. I have heard it was a pretty good read :-))
My contribution celebrated one of my favorite teachers, Sir Ken Robinson, with a review of his newest book, The Element. Robinson is in his true form discussing how we can find our own Element: the point at which natural talent meets personal passion. It is the place where the things we love to do and the things we are good at come together. It is in our element that we feel most inspired and our able to achieve at our highest levels.
One of my favorite quotes is, "Creativity in different media is a striking illustration of the diversity of intelligence and ways of thinking." And with that idea, I present to you a brief presentation of my favorite quotes from the book:
If you can't get enough of Sir Ken, check out what others have said about his powerful message:

I hope you'll find this book as engaging, educational, and entertaining as we have.
