Tools I’m Lovin’: Join.Me

I have been looking for a simple, easy and free collaboration tool, and I am officially lovin’ Join.Me for the job.

It allows you to instantly invite others to a conversation, presentation or project and instantly share your screen with everyone in the room. There is no sign up, registration, fancy equipment or log in hassle. Just send them a quick link and within seconds your co-collaborators have access to your screen and vise versa.

The one slight downfall in JoinMe is the lack of ability to support video, but I am hoping this is not permanent.  In the meantime, it is definitely worth a look as it allows for free and easy:

• screen sharing
• chat
• file transfer
• remote control

Here’s a peek at my live session yesterday on Join. Me.  I also ran a video chat simultaneously so we had video conferencing the entire time as well. This could be done easily with Skype.
