I am so honored and excited to be delivering the keynote speech with my dear friend, Steve Farber, at the annual WOW conference hosted by the Arizona Technology In Education Association.
Steve Farber is the president of Extreme Leadership, Inc, an organization devoted to the cultivation and development of Extreme Leaders in the business community. His latest book, Greater Than Yourself: The Ultimate Lesson In Leadership, was a Wall Street Journal® and USA Today® bestseller. His second book, The Radical Edge: Stoke Your Business, Amp Your Life, and Change the World, was hailed as “a playbook for harnessing the power of the human spirit.” And his first book, The Radical Leap: A Personal Lesson in Extreme Leadership, is already considered a classic in the leadership field. It received Fast Company magazine’s Readers’ Choice Award and was recently named one of the 100 Best Business Books of All Time.
Our keynote entitled, Passion-Driven Teaching, Learning, and Leadership. We promise you will not only leave inspired, but will understand how to use the power of the heart to achieve the extraordinary results with students, staff, and members of your learning community.
The conference will feature many outstanding speakers, an exciting interactive format, and an opportunity to be inspired and learn from your peers. I am equally excited about the Closing Panel Session: Connection Passion to Action
The Closing Panel: Steve Hargadon, Moderator
Passion is something that every educator and leader believes is necessary, yet may questions remain about the topic and it’s real world applications.
Questions like:
- What is passion…how could/should we define it?
- What does it mean for you? our students? your community? clients? the world?
- Can passion be “taught”?
- What conditions are necessary for passion to exist?
- Is passion a necessary or a “nice to have” quality?
- What are the repercussions of being a “passion-less” person or organization?
- What can we do to change this? move the conversation forward?
These are questions that need to be approached and explored from many angles and the conference organizers have pulled together a panel of genius minds to provide insights and answers to the practical side of the morning’s keynote and day’s conversation.
I hope that you can join:
- Amy Sandvold, co-author of “The Passion-Driven Classroom, Catholic School Administrator and creator of The Passion Driven Leader Blog
- Lisa Nielsen, passionate educator, writer, and advocate for Passion driven learning
- George Couros , passionate school leader and creator of Connected Principals, and The Principal of Change
- Steve Hargadon and myself for what promised to be a “passion driven” conversation.
WOW VTC11 promises to deliver timely topics and engaging speakers that are sure to have an immediate impact on the work you do every day. We look forward to seeing you there!
